Kenny Chesney, along with other country stars, decorated the paper-doll logo of the Monroe Carell Junior Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt to raise money for the hospital. Chesney's dolls wear flip-flops and beach hats. The dolls will be auctioned off beginning today through December 17 at www.ebay.com/paperdolls.

Kenny Chesney is featured in this weeks Country Weekly (November 17th issue) as well as on the cover. The article was written by Kenny himself about the passed few years and the journey he took while making Lucky Old Sun.

Excerpt:

There're the parts of our lies we live inside ourselves, the places we don't show other people ... maybe don't even want to see ourselves.
And I know you know. That's the thing about music: it goes to places we don't mean to. It finds us when we're not looking ... and those are usually the times and places we need it most.

I will try to scan the article in later, but for now ... here's just the text.

Again, I will try to upload the pictures later on tonight.

But what I want to know is ... what did you think of Lucky Old Sun?  Love it, loathe it, in the middle?

Hey guys!

I've been posting pretty much anything I could find over the past week or so.  What I want to know is what you guys think?  Are you liking the articles or no?  What do you want to see more of here?  Anything you would like to see less of?  Would you be interested in a discussion post about the new album?  Do you want to see some contests?  Let me know!  Everyone can post and we want everyone to post, even if its a random story or you saw something that reminded you of a KC song, whatever!

Also, feel free to pimp out this community!  The more people we have, the better!  So if you know someone that's a fan?  Tell to come join.

And we need an icon for the community.  It would be easy for me to just pick on, but I thought maybe I'd give everyone a chance to help out.  If you like an icon of Kenny that you think would be awesome for the community, let me know.  Want to make one?  Even better.  Once we get some more people in here, and have a few icons, we'll vote!  Sound good?  Leave a comment here or send me a message with the icon and the name of whoever made it.

And because I forgot to post it the other day ... Kenny Chesney will be performing on Good Morning America tomorrow morning (10/14) if anyone is interested.  The show starts at 7am ET and goes 'til 9am.  I was hoping to get there for the show (and bring back some wicked pictures) but unfortunately plans have not worked out and I will not be able to attend.  Kenny will also be appearing on numerous shows this week.  I'll have the schedule up later on.

Katie Cook sat down to interview Kenny Chesney for a special edition of CMT Insider which will be premiering Saturday, October 11th at 1:30 pm ET/PT. They talked about his new album "Lucky Old Sun", his return to the Caribbean, his life post break-up with actress Renee Zellweger, among many other things. Part of the interview can be found on CMT's website and the rest while appear on the show.

Excerpt:
Let's talk about the song "Nowhere to Go, Nowhere to Be." Tell us about Trinidad Charlie.
"...I sat there with him. After a couple of hours, I realized that for the first time -- in probably a year and a-half -- that I was completely still, and my heart was still, my soul was still, my head was still. I wasn't thinking about what I had to do. I didn't think about any expectations. I wasn't thinking about the good reason that I had to be somewhere else. It was just me and Charlie, and that was it..."

Like "Way Down Here." Talk to us about it.
"... So, after Christmas, I got on the plane and went back down and met my boat captain, Ben, and he picked me up on the boat. I looked at him, and the first thing I said to him was, "Well, if I'm going to be down, I'm going to be down here." ... That whole song was about my emotion that day. ... And when I got down there, I didn't really feel that much better, but I just kind of inhaled a little bit better and exhaled even better, and so that's where that song was born."
